Welcome to the Classroom Management Practices Self-Assessment. This tool is designed to offer you insights into your current strategies and identify areas for growth in classroom management. By evaluating your practices across various domains—such as foundational principles, applied practices, and data systems—you will gain a clearer understanding of where to focus your professional development efforts. Upon completion of this self-assessment, you will be guided to resources tailored to support your advancement in those identified areas.

Completing the Self-Assessment

  • Use this link to access the self-assessment.
  • Reflect on Your Current Practices: Consider each statement carefully and assess your current practices honestly, based on your regular classroom experiences.
  • Select Your Responses: For each item, choose the option that best represents your current level of implementation or agreement. The assessment is not timed, so take the moment you need to reflect accurately on your practices.
  • Review the Interactive Map: After submitting your responses, an interactive map will be generated. This map will highlight content and resources that align with your specific areas for growth.

Post-Assessment Reflection

Upon completing the self-assessment, take some time to reflect on the following prompts to deepen your understanding and plan your next steps:

  1. What is something I learned? Reflect on any new insights or realizations about your classroom management practices.
  2. What surprised me? Consider any outcomes of the assessment that were unexpected or challenged your preconceptions.
  3. What is a question I have? Identify any areas where you seek further clarification or information, or any specific questions that arose from your assessment results.
