Module 2: Water Resources and Food Production
This second module focuses on freshwater resources, both groundwater and surface water, and the role of water in agriculture. Case studies of the Ogallala Aquifer and the Colorado River Basin are used to analyze water use in agriculture. Agricultural effects on water use efficiency, water quality, and virtual water are all discussed. This module is divided into 4 chapters:
