Environmental Geology by Lindsay Iredale used Physical Geology – H5P Edition by Karla Panchuck, copyright 2021 Karla Panchuk, which is licensed under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license as a starting point for learning the internal workings of how to organize chapters and for the abundance of excellent figures and H5P content. Unless specifically stated otherwise, beyond this framework all written chapter content has been reordered, reworked, removed, or added to better fit an environmental geology focus as detailed here:

  • Content on Plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, rivers, climate, fossil fuels were reordered, reworked, portions removed, and have new material added.
  • All other chapters from original work were removed
  • Content on groundwater, water quality and water resources in agriculture, virtual water, alternative energy are new content
  • while some figures and H5P activities were utilized, this book contains over 200 new figures, including over 70 original figures, and over 90 new H5P activities

Note that each of the H5P activities included with the H5P Edition are individually licensed with their own Creative Commons licenses and can be used independently of the book under the terms of their own licenses.
