Discussion: Effective Actions

Choose an example Action Plan and evaluate it using the Action Plan criteria. You might even choose to work your way through the Action Plan Feedback Form if you want to evaluate your chosen example more thoroughly.

By now, we hope you’ve identified “just one thing” you might choose for your own Action Plan.

  • How, if at all, did evaluating an example Action Plan generate ideas or considerations for what you’ll include in your own Action Plan?
  • What are you already doing well when it comes to equity practices in your teaching?
  • Are there areas of your Action Plan you anticipate being a challenge?
  • Are there colleagues or initiatives that are inspiring to you when you consider your chosen action? What makes their work effective?

We are a community full of talented, capable educators, so share your strengths! If a colleague has listed an anticipated challenge and you have any suggestions for resolution or resources, please offer them in this discussion board.

Discussion: Post Your Plan, Provide Feedback

This discussion board spans two modules: Module 3 and Module 4. By the end of Module 3, generate a draft of your Action Plan and share it with your partner(s). By the end of Module 4, provide feedback to your partner(s) on their draft(s).

We have provided the Action Plan Feedback Form to assist you in offering feedback, but you are welcome to connect with your partner(s) live or offer written feedback in a different way as well. Just be sure that your evaluation considers the criteria we’ve identified for effective Action Plans.
