Looking Ahead

This concludes our chapters focusing on typical development for school-aged children and adolescents.  In the remainder of the text, we will explore different ways that development can vary based on learning differences, developmental disorders, neurodivergence, and other factors.  The concepts covered so far can be used to help understand when and how development has deviated from typical expectations as a way to better identify, address, and support all students.
